We learned that there was a two week incubation period, which allowed the virus to spread rampantly since carriers could not be detected fast enough. Now a mere three weeks into what began as an isolated outbreak, Covid-19 has become a worldwide pandemic with almost 75,000 cases confirmed and over 2,000 dead in China and international cases on the rapid rise.
What is the actual source of the Covid-19 virus and how long might it take to synthesize a viable vaccine? What could happen if the virus mutates farther and becomes even more virulent?
