DnB Ep 203: The Scourge of Human Trafficking in America with Billy Joe Cain of the Radical Empathy Education Foundation

In this revealing episode of the Dudes n Beer podcast host Christopher Jordan once again welcomes Billy Joe Cain of the Radical Empathy Education Foundation and Dudes n Beer virtual reality correspondent to the studio to discuss the scourge of human trafficking in America.

With events like the Super Bowl providing havens for criminals trafficking people for sex, drugs and everything in between, what can we do to bring this plight to the forefront of social conversation? Everyday thousands of women, men and children are trafficked worldwide.

It could be the wife next door, children at your local school, even the passing person on the street. Trafficked individuals surround us every day. What can we do to learn to recognize the signs of those who are being trafficked around us? How can programs like REEF’s One Generation and virtual reality games such as “Trapped: A VR Detective Story” designed by the Radical Empathy Education Foundation do to help the cause?

Join the Dudes n Beer podcast as we discuss the topic of human trafficking and how we can stop this modern day scourge of society with VR Developer and activist Billy Joe Cain of the Radical Empathy Education Foundation.

  1. The Dudes and Beer Podcast has the strength to approach and challenge any issue. They approach every story with an open mind and critically examine the reasons for those stories being told. What’s the story behind the story? Is the outlet a credible news source? Is there a “narrative” we’re supposed to follow?

Their listeners are critical thinkers. They ask the hard questions, too, and they are rewarded with interaction with the hosts and guests. Yep. You can be part of the show. Just listen live. Or check out their Facebook page.

Radical Empathy appreciates every second of airtime devoted to our mission of ending human trafficking in one generation, and the fact that I’m allowed to participate as a technology consultant is just amazing. It is such a pleasure to get the opportunity to share my thoughts and knowledge with Mr. Jordan and for us to challenge each other on the issues that need to be discussed.

I definitely don’t know everything about anything, but I can tell you that when I am on my way home from any broadcast, I definitely know more than I did when we first sat down at the mic. Then I have to go learn more.

It is my hope that all listeners have a similar experience and take the time to question what they have been told and to get out there, with an open mind, and make their own decisions about what is right versus what you are being told. Give DnBP a listen. You might just hone your ability to question authority. And isn’t that what we’re supposed to do?

Dudes and Beer. Make no mistake… it may just change your life.
